The New Avaya Download Center for Global Communications Systems

Action Required
Avaya has a new web site that will simplify the management of software, firmware, and security downloads for GCS systems and applications. The new center will continue to be located on http://support.avaya.com, but will now be located behind the Avaya Firewall. The new site will display downloads applicable to your customers' equipment, by each of their locations, therefore saving them time in wading through downloads that may not apply to their equipment or their sites.

To access the site, your customers will require a valid Sold-To ID for each of their locations, and a Single Sign-On (SSO) logon. Obtaining an SSO Logon is simple; see the instructions below.

In addition, it will be necessary for the primary System Administrator to associate all of their company's Sold-To ID's with their SSO Logon, and to assign permissions to other System Administrators within their business, and Authorized Channel Partners that support their locations.

Support materials are available, including a customer letter that you can use with your customers, a detailed presentation, Frequently Asked Questions, and Bulk Load Process document. (The Bulk Load Process can be used to assist customers that have 100+ Sold-to Locations in the administration of their Sold To addresses.)

Customers can obtain an SSO Login (if they do not already have one) by:
  1. Going to: http://sso.avaya.com clicking "Register Now"
  2. Read and accept the "Terms of Use"
  3. Complete the information form and click "Register".
If they should encounter any problems, customers should call the appropriate number for their region listed on the "Login Screen." (SSO Logins do periodically require that you change your password for security purposes.)

The customer will also need to enroll in the "Customer Self Service Center":
  1. Go to http://sso.avaya.com and login
  2. On the left hand side of the screen, click on "My Account"
  3. Click on "Enroll for Avaya Applications"
  4. Select "Applications" Tab
  5. Check "Customer Self Service" and Submit
The customer will then need to associate their Sold-To's with their SSO Login:
  1. Go to http://support.avaya.com and click on Self-Service Support Home page
  2. Select "Administer IL/Sold To #s"
  3. Select "Make Sold To/End User # associations" (select for yourself)
  4. Complete the form with Sold-To numbers and site identifier information.
  5. Repeat this process until all Sold To's have been entered.
To grant permissions to other authorized team members:
  1. Go to http://support.avaya.com and click on Self-Service Support Home page
  2. Select "Administer IL/Sold To #s"
  3. Select "Make Sold To/End User # associations
  4. Select "User Name" and enter the persons SSO Login
  5. Complete the form with Sold-To numbers and site identifier information.
  6. Repeat this process until all Sold To's have been entered.
