Platinum Communications, a total Avaya communication solutions provider, headquartered in Somerset, New Jersey, proudly announces Shirley Turner as Executive Vice President.
Ms. Turner will join Cynthia Martin-Bidlack, President and Founder, in the leadership of Platinum Communication's strategic direction. Ms. Turner’s extensive background in business development will provide the solid foundation for Platinum’s national growth initiatives.
Prior to joining Platinum Communications, Ms. Turner held several sales and operational leadership positions within Avaya Inc, a world leader in secure, reliable IP telephony systems, communication software applications and services.
A graduate from the University of Texas, Ms. Turner proceeded to established and lead her own consulting company, TTG Communications. As President, she built a company that focusing on vertical specializations and customer-centric solutions for enterprise companies across the US. Ms. Turner has held leadership roles within AT&T, bringing two decades of information technology, management experience to Platinum Communications.
Cynthia Martin-Bidlack said, “Platinum Communications employs an elite team of individuals who are dedicated to our clients. As of October 2006 we posted the following:
End of Daylight Saving Time (DST) is fast approaching around the world. If you would like to discuss Avaya's resources with customers, now is the time! The following three options are available to assist them with this change. These options are in effect immediately and extend through 3 November 2006.
Option 1: Avaya offers a self-service option on the Avaya Support website that is fast and easy! Once there, they will be able to search for time change information on their specific system. The Avaya Support website can be accessed from the Avaya.com > Get Support > More Support, or directly, by following this link.
Option 2 (US only): You have the option to receive instructions via fax by calling the Fax Server on +1 800-628-2888 or x19915, in which they will be faxed instructions, within 24 hours (US only).
Option 3: Remote and/or Training assistance is available. However, customary Time and Material charges will apply.
CHANGE: Daylight Savings: March 2007 - Product Policies
As of March 2007, a new policy for Daylight Savings Time will take effect in the United States and Canada, which states that Daylight Saving Time will begin on the second Sunday of March and end on the first Sunday of November.
In accordance with the change, modifications will be required on some Avaya products, both new and existing. Details on the applicable products may be found by contacting your account representative at 1-800-579-9600.

END OF SALE–Avaya Merlin Magix Integrated System– Notification Date 1/9/2006
Summary:
Effective April 3, 2006, MERLIN MAGIX® will no longer be available for sale.For additional information, contact your Platinum Account manager.
The MERLIN MAGIX product line will continue to be available from Avaya until March 31, 2006.
Following standard Avaya product support and warranty guidelines, the products will be supported (tech support, bug fixes, etc.) for a minimum of 3 years.
Migration Strategy
- Stay with MERLIN MAGIX: Avaya is committed to provide “product” support for an additional 3 years after the End of Sale date. Avaya Global Services will continue with “services” support. Customers can retain their installed system for the foreseeable future.
- Migrate to Avaya IP Office: Customers have the option to migrate existing MERLIN MAGIX system to Avaya IP Office. Migration to IP Office can be done by replacing the MAGIX carrier and processors with an IP Office unit. Customers using 44xx terminals can migrate the installed base to IP Office, but MLX and ETR sets must be replaced with either 44xx sets or 54xx sets.

End of Sale and Support Notification for Avaya Center Stage Switch, ATM Products and the Global Multi Carrier Cabinet

Designed as the complementary gateway for S85xx/S87xx-media server based Communication Manager solutions, the G650 Media Gateway offers the features, scalability, and system uptime that enterprises require for mission-critical telephony applications. Additionally, with Communication Manager 3.1 Avaya offers an IP architecture for port-network connectivity with high availability and scalability comparable to Center Stage Switch and ATM port network solutions.
Date of Issuance: February 3, 2006
Beginning June 5, 2006, Avaya will no longer offer (make commercially available) the Global Multi Carrier Cabinet (G/MCC), Direct Connect, Center Stage Switch configurations (CSS) and Asynchronous Transfer Mode (ATM) products for Communication Manager solutions.
Beginning June 8, 2009 Avaya will no longer provide Manufacturer Support for G/MCC, ATM and CSS.
There are a number of lower level materials that support these products that will be discontinued as a result of this End of Sale Announcement.

Service and Warranty
Avaya will continue to honor previously executed enhanced warranty, post-warranty and service contracts in accordance with the terms of those agreements. Avaya is not responsible for any support or maintenance commitments made by Business Partners or other service providers.

series of IP Wireless Telephones. The 3620 IP WIreless Telephone has a

Meeting Exchange Groupware Edition is a new solution that integrates Avaya Meeting Exchange audio conferencing with IBM Lotus Sametime. The solution provides click-to-call capability from the Sametime Instant Messaging Connect Client, making it more convenient to locate and join key participants for real-time collaboration. Embedded audio controls in the Sametime Web Conference Meeting Room also provide ability to dial out to join new participants, mute participants, lock the conference, etc.
