Benefits
  • Provides multimedia messaging for smaller sites including both small businesses and smaller locations of large enterprises.
  • Delivers robust applications that let enterprises conveniently and flexibly create and respond to messages.
Features:
Creating and Accessing Multimedia Messages
Users can create, access and listen to messages via telephone and PC interfaces.

Easy access to messages enables employees to more quickly retrieve, organize and respond to messages.

Automated Attendants
Automated attendants present a menu of choices for inbound callers.

Based on caller input various actions may follow:
  • Transfer the call to the designated extension number.
  • Route the call into the designated mailbox and treat it as a "Call Answer" call, i.e. play the greeting for the mailbox and record a message.
  • Listen to an announcement only.
Call Answer
Calls that are not answered by the called party can be redirected to the messaging system so that the caller may leave a voice and/or a fax message.

The caller may leave a voice and/or fax message. If the caller has a mailbox on the system, the caller may then login to the system and do any of the following:
  • Retrieve messages
  • Record and send messages
  • Undelete the last deleted message
  • Record and activate personal greetings
  • Customize the mailbox (e.g., set up Outcalling, manage mailing lists, change password, etc.)
Digital Networking
Digital networking is data connectivity between two systems for the purpose of sending messages and other pertinent information between systems.

With digital networking, messages are transmitted in their stored format, and do not need to be converted from digital format to analog format for transmission to the remote system and then back to digital format for storage.

Internet Messaging
Internet Messaging provides a gateway for email messages into and out of the system.

Users may create messages (with any combination of component types) and dsend them to remote email recipients. People may send email messages directly into a user’s mailbox.

Message Manager
Message Manager is a desktop client that provides users with a graphical interface (GUI) to their mailboxes.

Users may create and retrieve multimedia messages, administer some of the features and/or attributes associated with the mailbox (e.g., personal greetings, mailing lists). Playing and recording voice messages may be done either through the telephone or through the microphone and speakers on the PC.
